Beefy Beef Burgers

This burger came about from my sister and I sitting at her house hungry and wanting more than just a fast-food burger.
Each burger itself weighs about 1 lb precooked, so get your appetite ready.
You will need:
- 5 lbs of ground beef, we like 80/20
- about 10 slices of frozen steak
- 1 whole cut up onion and 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 bag of frozen onion ring, the store brand is just a good
- 3 oz of small cubed extra sharp cheddar
- 3 oz of sliced extra sharp cheddar
- 5 slices of pepperjack cheese
- 1/2 tps pepper
- 1/2 tps seasoned salt
- and of course, 1 large bag of Funyuns
- and sliced potato bread
Season burger meat pepper and 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt with Between each 1/2 lb of burger meat, put some cubed cheddar. Form both 1/2 lb around the cheese as flat and as sealed as possible. We slowly cooked these over a medium heat so the cheese would not just explode out.
Cook onions in seasoned salt and butter, about 1 tbsp. butter. Cook until soft.
Cook steak-ums with just a dash of salt.
Flip you burger, let cook about 10-15 minutes
Start heating up your grease to fry your onion rings. If in the deep fryer, these will only take about 5-7 min., about 2 onion rings per burger.
Go back and stir onions, then stir steak-ums.
About 5 min before burger is done, top burger with sliced extra sharp cheddar cheese.
Put pepperjack cheese first, then burger(cheese side up), onions, steak-ums, top with onion rings and ketchup!!!!
This was the BEST burger, and started our soon to be ritual of redefining burgers.
