Vegan Brownies

A spin off from the cake, made the same day
You will need:
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp distilled white or apple cider vinegar
Preheat oven to 350.
In a 8×8 square pan, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt using a fork.
Make sure it is blended really well
then add the water, vanilla, oil, and vinegar. Mix those together so that it is really blended.
Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
These brownies were not better than the cake to me, but I am not a brownie person anyway. My daughter and both of my sons liked them. Both trays, the cake and brownies, were gone by the end of the day! So hey no worries. I have made other vegan desserts that have set and I’ve had to toss them, so the cake and brownie recipes are keepers
