Cheesy Lasagna

This huge pan sure didn’t last long. Of course not! It contains cheese…..our heaven on earth.

This recipe was portioned to make Memee a small pan.

You will need:

  • 12 oz box of lasagna noodles
  • 2 lbs of ground beef (lean works great for this  recipe)
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of Italian blend cheese
  • 7 cups of pasta sauce

For ricotta cheese:

  • 32 oz ricotta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 oz parmesan cheese
  • 4 oz shredded muenster
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For Garlic Bread:

  • loaf of French
  • whipped garlic butter premade in the store

Dice onions small  and Cook with  ground beef until meat is brown. Drain if you wish.

Set out all  ingredients. Get at least a 13×9 glass casserole pan. Do not cook noodles first

Let’s layer.

  1. Pour most of the canned diced tomatoes into the bottom of the pan. I saved about 1/4 cup for my Memee dish.
  2. 1 cup pasta sauce
  3. 1 cup ground beef
  4. 2-3 noodles to fit
  5. layer ricotta, make sure most of the noodles are covered
  6. 2 cups pasta sauce
  7. 1 cup ground beef
  8. 1 cup sharp cheddar
  9. 2 cups mozzarella
  10. 5 noodles to fit
  11. layer ricotta
  12. 3 cups pasta sauce
  13. 3 cups ground beef
  14. 1 cup sharp cheddar
  15. 1 cup of Italian blend cheese
  16. 2 cups of mozzarella

Cover tightly with foil. I had to cook mine on 450, my electric stove is my enemy. Cook for 30-45 min until noodles are al dente. Use a fork to poke the center of the dish.003Nice and bubbly when it comes out. MMMM.  Serve with salad and French garlic bread.

My whole family loved this meal. No complaints from  the boys.My mom came over and I look some to my sis and nieces. And there were leftovers. I would make this dish weekly if cheese wasn’t so costly.  My fiancée was  the only person who said it needed more meat! Really?
