Turkey Bacon & Cheese Turkey Burgers

I am a burger lover! To me, there is nothing better a great burger. But every now and then, I like a change of pace so I decided to pick up some turkey burgers. Now for the grill, I will stick with beef but for now let’s go with the turkey.
This recipe is super simple, great tasting, and filling!
you will need:
- A six pack of turkey burgers
- 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- 18 pieces of turkey bacon
- 1 large tomato, sliced thin
- 1 bunch of green leaf lettuce
- thinly sliced deli Colby jack cheese
- a sprinkle of Italian blend cheese for each burger
- potato sandwich rolls
To start, slice tomato and break lettuce into large pieces, rinse and leave in strainer to drip dry
Lightly sprinkle Cajun seasoning on one side of turkey burgers, when burgers are ready to turn, add butter to the pan to finish cooking burger
While these are cooking, you can cook the turkey bacon, put butter in the pan and cook until crisp
To build your sandwich,
italian cheese on bottom roll

1-2 slices of Colby jack. Stop. Place sandwich under broiler to melt cheese. About 1 minute
add tomato and lettuce and any condiments you like.
ENJOY
I rarely make turkey burgers so I had the boys participate to get them excited. They washed and rinsed veggies then patted them dry. This meal was also great because it cooks pretty quickly so this can be made any day of the week. And there was not a crumb left on anyone’s plate 🙂 enough said
