Vegan Chocolate Cake

Don’t be fooled by the vegan! Don’t be fooled by the simple picture! This cake is moist and delicious without a hint of taste of vegan! Mine is unfrosted but frosting will top it off.

  • 1 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup of water

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease 9 by 5  inch pan

Stir together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, add salt. Add oil, vanilla, vinegar, and water.Mix until smooth. We like to mix by hand, but pull out your blender to speed up the process.

Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 for 45 min

Remove from oven, allow cake to cool or eat it slightly warm ( topped with icecream  ) frost if desired

My daughter, both boys, and my picky teenager sister, and myself LOVED this cake, also my friend came over and tasted the cake and she loved it to.
