Steak house at home

I made this recipe because of Fat’s love for steak; this boy must be reincarnated from the cowboy days.

Eat beef for survival!

I had 2 large 1 in. cut T-bone steaks I like the ones with a little more fat since we prefer our steak more on the well-done side

For the marinade:

  • worcestershire sauce, just coat your steak nicely with this
  • little bit of lime juice(I didn’t have lemon)
  • just a dash of steak seasoning(this stuff can be very salty)
  • about a tsp of garlic
  • nice amount of olive oil, but not floating in oil

As you can tell, this is one of my little bit of this, little bit of that recipes that I used for years. I wish I knew the exact measurements, but trust me this simple marinade is great! Use lemon if you have it, the lime was ok, but not better than the lemon. Poke holes throughout the steak, cover, and put in the frig.

I recommend you marinade these at least two hours.

I like my steak a little dark like in the picture, so I cooked it without a top.

Cook steak in a large sautéed pan, about 10-15 min on each side, on medium heat.

I found this mac in cheese marked down at the Food Lion for about $1.80. great addition and tasted great for a store bought mac and cheesefood pics 018I was out of green veggies so I just cut up some tomatoes and sprinkled them lightly with seasoned salt and pepper. A favorite veggie for my family.
