Spinach Dip
This was a new try
The recipe is right on the back of the package.
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 cup mayo
- 10 oz frozen spinach
- 1 package of above seasoning
- water chestnut and green onions optional
I opted for miracle whip instead of mayo. added a little salt to the spinach, and made according to package directions. I left out the water chestnuts and added the green onions.
This recipe my daughter and I did not care for. I was wondering was it because of the miracle whip in place of mayo? I’m not sure if that makes a huge difference. Miracle whip is sweeter than mayo though.
To us, it just tasted like sandwich spread(which is what I will use it for)
Has anyone tried this recipe? If so, any variations?
